Meet Some of Our Experts
- Prof. Dr. habil. Wojciech J. Cynarski: Founder and President of the International Martial Arts and Combat Sports Scientific Society (IMACSSS) and a leading figure in the sociology of martial arts. Prof. Cynarski has published over 800 scientific works and holds a 10th Dan in Jūjutsu and Idōkan.
- Prof. Dr. Mohamad Nizam Mohamed Shapie: A prominent Silat expert, Prof. Nizam has been instrumental in promoting Silat on the international stage. He is a key figure in Silat coaching and research, having trained top-level athletes and conducted extensive studies on the art of Silat. His work has significantly contributed to Silat’s recognition as a global martial art, and his expertise will feature prominently in the Silat workshops during the conference.
- Dr. Hjh. Siti Nazariah Hj. Abdul Razak: A renowned expert in sports psychology and coaching, Dr. Siti Nazariah has made significant contributions to sports policy and martial arts law. She was recognized as the Best Silat Researcher in the National Silat Awards for 2021 and 2022.
- Muhammad Safiuddin Bin Yusuf: A respected figure in Malay Wushu, Muhammad Safiuddin is known for his exceptional skills in blending traditional Wushu techniques with Malay martial arts. He has represented Malaysia in various international competitions and has dedicated his career to promoting Wushu both domestically and internationally. His workshops at the conference will offer hands-on experience in Wushu techniques and cultural insights into Malay martial arts.
- Song Yazhou: An accomplished Wushu practitioner, Song Yazhou has won numerous Wushu championships and has taught Wushu courses internationally, including at the University of Miami and the Confucius Institute in Cambodia. His expertise in Chinese martial arts will be a highlight of this year’s workshops.
- Zbigniew Sawicki, PhD: Creator of the Polish martial art Signum Polonicum, Dr. Sawicki has played a pivotal role in preserving and promoting Polish martial traditions. He is a prominent figure in the field of martial arts history and has authored several textbooks on Polish combat techniques.
